The injection of funds through investment from the US-based private equity firm, Carlyle Group in PEL’s pharma business led to an improved net debt-to-equity ratio which stood at 0.4x in FY21 as against 0.9x in FY20. PEL’s pharma launched 15-plus new products and 35-plus SKUs, reporting a 20 per cent growth in the consumer healthcare (India) business.
