Oil companies started increasing prices from March 22, after the election results of five states were announced in March. From March 22 to April 6, the price was increased by Rs 10 per liter. The last increase was 80 paise per liter on 6 April.
The cheapest petrol and diesel in the country is available in Port Blair. There petrol is Rs 91.45 per liter and diesel is Rs 85.83 per liter. At the same time, the rate of petrol in Ganganagar (Rajasthan) is Rs 122.93 and diesel is Rs 105.34 per liter. After the election results of five states, the rate was changed by the companies after four and a half months. Earlier, petrol was being sold at Rs 95.41 per liter in Delhi.
