Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:04AM

Agro Phos(up 9.93%), Sikko Industries(up 6.73%), Coromandel International(up 4.06%), G S F C(up 3.47%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.44%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.60%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 1.54%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.20%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 0.88%) and KRISHANA(up 0.81%) were among the top gainers.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 4.98%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.34%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.38%), Aries Agro(down 0.93%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.13%), National Fertilizer(down 0.08%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.05%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 72.0 points up at 17110.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 223.31 points at 57042.7 at around 10:04AM.

UPL Ltd(up 2.58%), Asian Paints(up 2.46%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.67%), SBI Life(up 1.34%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.32%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.09%), JSW Steel(up 1.05%), Reliance Industries(up 1.02%) and Divis Laboratories(up 0.99%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto(down 2.4%), HCL Technologies(down 1.46%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.84%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.48%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.44%), Britannia Industries(down 0.31%), HDFC Bank(down 0.27%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.26%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.21%) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.18%) were trading in the red.
