Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Adani Power(Rs. 275.19 crore), Varun Beverages(Rs. 219.40 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 217.08 crore), Ruchi Soya Inds(Rs. 164.42 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 158.97 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 134.45 crore), RIL(Rs. 108.93 crore), JSPL(Rs. 100.46 crore), Tata Elxsi(Rs. 76.07 crore) and Rel Ind Infra(Rs. 73.51 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 162.4 points down at 17038.4, while BSE Sensex fell 537.22 points to 56819.39.
In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.85 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.73 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.35 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 7.27 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 3.94 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(down 2.28 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
