Movie buff Anshuman Magazine, Chairman, India, South East Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE, shares his favourite movies with ETPanache as well as which country is on his travel bucketlist:
Go-to gadget: My favourite gadget is my iPhone. It helps me stay connected with all aspects of my world: my kids, my work, and my family .
Mood board: When it comes to what kind of music I like to listen to, that depends completely on what kind of mood I am in. I love everything from Indian classical music, to ghazals to even heavy metal at times. However, jazz is at the top of my list. When I listen to jazz it has a soothing yet re-energising effect on me.
Movie buff: I appreciate good cinema! I am a big fan of the classic gems such as 'Shawshank Redemption', 'The Godfather', 'Chupke Chupke' (1975); along with several Iranian movies as well.
Globe trotter: I enjoy spending time in Europe. The history of the countries continues to interest me. Closer home, Kashmir is one of my favourite destinations.
Note to self: I like several of the works of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Albert Camus. Besides that I also really enjoy reading autobiographies.
Upskilled in the pandemic: For me, during the pandemic I decided it was time to really focus on my health. My work responsibilities over-shadowed this for a while, but I have realised the healthier I am, the more productive and efficient I am at work.
Quote unquote: One quote that stands out for me is: “Be humble, be hungry and always be the hardest worker in the room.”
On my bucketlist: This year, I want to explore India. There are numerous local destinations I would love to explore with my family. Rishikesh for one - would love to re-visit and rekindle with some fond memories.
