Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 4.98%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.85%), ZUARIAGRO(down 4.00%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 2.31%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.69%), National Fertilizer(down 0.42%), KRISHANA(down 0.16%) and Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.08%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 246.85 points up at 17200.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 776.72 points at 57356.61.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 5.81%), Bajaj Auto(up 5.68%), Hero MotoCorp(up 5.18%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 4.0%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.93%), Titan Company Ltd(up 3.84%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 3.7%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.58%), Bajaj Finance(up 3.36%) and Reliance Industries(up 2.99%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.59%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.11%), Axis Bank(down 0.73%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.41%), Asian Paints(down 0.16%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.07%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.05%) and Wipro(down 0.02%) closed in the red.
