Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 686.56 crore), Ruchi Soya Inds(Rs. 579.32 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 473.93 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 471.88 crore), RIL(Rs. 370.45 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 346.37 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 241.34 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 236.11 crore), TVS Motor(Rs. 223.80 crore) and Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 220.82 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:44AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 182.95 points up at 17136.9, while BSE Sensex was up 578.26 points at 57158.15 as of 10:44AM(IST)on April 26.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 3.50 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.36 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.21 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 3.00 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.29 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) were among the top losers.
