Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 1880.51 crore), RIL(Rs. 1548.73 crore), Ruchi Soya Inds(Rs. 1460.55 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1418.89 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1167.18 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 870.93 crore), Infosys(Rs. 846.00 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 757.99 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 727.78 crore) and Bajaj Finance(Rs. 727.48 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 246.85 points up at 17200.8, while BSE Sensex rose 776.72 points to 57356.61.

In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 5.81 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 5.68 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 5.18 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 4.00 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.93 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
