GAIL shares decline 0.67% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the GAIL (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 156.6 on BSE at 02:09PM (IST) on Tuesday, down 0.67 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 125.2 and a high of Rs 173.45.

Earlier, the stock saw a gap up opening in the morning.

A total of 364,497 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 02:09PM (IST).

The stock of GAIL (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 69447.62 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 6.15, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 1.13. Return on equity (ROE) was at 11.53 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 370 stocks traded in the green, while 131 stocks were in the red.

Promotor Holding
Promoters held 51.8 per cent in the GAIL (India) Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2022 while foreign portfolio investors and domestic institutional investors owned 19.62 per cent and 15.9 per cent, respectively.
