Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: ARC Finance(numbers of share traded: 4.57 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.29 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 2.88 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 2.72 crore), BCL Enterprises(numbers of share traded: 1.96 crore), Goldline Intl. Finv.(numbers of share traded: 1.89 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.29 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(numbers of share traded: 1.25 crore), Future Consumer (numbers of share traded: 1.25 crore) and Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.16 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 218.0 points down at 16953.95, while BSE Sensex ended down 617.26 points at 56579.89.

On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 6.78 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 6.02 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 4.48 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 4.04 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.63 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
