Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 4.68 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 4.24 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.64 crore), Shree Ren Sug(number of shares traded: 3.27 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(number of shares traded: 2.87 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 2.27 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.00 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.89 crore), Adani Power(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore) and ICICI Bank(number of shares traded: 1.73 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 133.4 points down at 17038.55, while BSE Sensex was down 373.17 points at 56823.98 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.90 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 4.65 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 3.03 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.83 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.80 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.56 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
