KL Rahul played a captain's knock and hit a brilliant century to get his team to 168, and then his bowlers did well to restrict Mumbai Indians to 132/8, to win by 36 runs

The Toss between Lucknow skipper KL Rahul and Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma was won by the altter at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and he chose to bowl first. Avesh Khan was the only change in the Lucknow Super Giants' Playing 11 as he was injured and  was replaced by left arm pacer Mohsin Khan. Mumbai remained unchanged.
