ICICI Bank executive director Vishakha Mulye will be the new chief executive of Aditya Birla Capital, the holding company for the financial services businesses of the Aditya Birla Group.
Mulye, a career banker with three decades of experience behind her, will join her new role on June 1 as CEO designate, Group announced late Saturday. After a month of her joining, she will take charge as CEO when the current incumbent Ajay Srivinasan moves out and takes up another role within the financial services group.
The one-month overlap is planned to ensure smooth transition of leadership, the group said.
The company's board has approved the appointment on Saturday.
Mulye, a chartered accountant by qualification, is in charge of domestic and international wholesale banking at ICICI Bank. Her other responsibilities in her current position include proprietary trading, markets and transaction banking.
