Our planet is in a precarious state, and every Earth Day is a reminder that we need to invest in our planet in terms of our time, energy and efforts and stagnate, if not reverse, global warming. Today, as we celebrate this year’s Earth Day, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, many Bollywood celebrities, top industry bosses took the pledge to protect the planet, and spread awareness about the current global situation.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra rang in Earth day without any sermons. The Mahindra boss took to Twitter to share his interactions with nature through some of the photos he had taken over the years.

Several Bollywood celebrities also took to Twitter to celebrate Earth Day. Anushka Sharma reminded her fans of the responsibility they have towards their planet through her social media post.

Fashion designer Masaba called nature her biggest ally and inspiration. She shared two beautiful photos of her – in one she can be seen walking on a beach, and in the other she is seen jogging through a foggy road. ‘Gold’ actress Mouni Roy also shared a photo of her sitting by the sea, and wrote, “Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the mystic of mama earth.” Actress Rakul Preet shared a post of her on a nature trail in the mountains, and gave a reminder to her fans and asked them to remember that our planet has enough for everyone’s need but not for everyone’s greed. Dia Mirza, who is also Goodwill Ambassador UNEP, gave a glimpse of how she celebrated Earth Day 2022.
