Kannada film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ continues to rule the box office. The film which was released on April 14 has already won over the nation with fans of Kannada superstar Yash thronging packed cinema halls. The film directed by Prashanth Neel is a sequel to the period action drama KGF 1 released in 2018.

The latest film has been released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The film with its slick action sequences and exceptional cinematography is turning out to be successful among Hindi moviegoers.

According to noted movie critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film’s Hindi dubbed version is on its way to grossing Rs 300 crore at the box office at the second weekend. The Hindi version collected Rs 50 crore on Day 1 while it collected Rs 250 crore on the seventh day according to Adarsh.
Meanwhile, the film has crossed Rs 700 crore at the worldwide box-office making it the first Kannada film to make rake in such a whopping sum at the box office. The film is also the seventh highest-grossing Indian film as of now.

The sequel of ‘KGF 1’ also features Bollywood stars Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. 'KGF 2' was released at 10,000+ screens worldwide - 4400+ in North India, 2600+ in South India, the Hindi version overseas on 1100 screens, and 2900 overseas (in other languages).
