Live news updates: Delhi and Tamil Nadu on Friday made masks mandatory in public and said it will fine Rs 500 for violations, responding to rising Covid-19 cases.
Delhi’s fine will not be applicable on people travelling together in private vehicles.
Delhi on Thursday reported a dip in daily coronavirus cases and an improvement in positivity rate. The city recored saw 965 fresh infections, 635 recoveries, and one death from the disease.
