Days after getting trolled on social media for endorsing Vimal Elaichi, actor Akshay Kumar has released a statement in which he apologised for his action.
Kumar stated that his entire endorsement fee will be donated to a worthy cause and that Vimal Elaichi can continue airing the ads until the legal duration of the contract.
Last week, Vimal Elaichi rolled out a film featuring long term brand ambassadors Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan. The duo welcomed the khiladi as Vimal Elaichi's latest brand ambassador. After the film went on air, a video featuring Kumar went viral in which he mentioned that no amount of money could lure him to endorse a 'gutka' brand.
