ReutersNEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 9.18 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.56 crore), Future Consumer (numbers of share traded: 7.17 crore), L&T Fin Holding(numbers of share traded: 4.55 crore), Coal India Ltd(numbers of share traded: 4.37 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 4.15 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 4.08 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 4.06 crore), MRPL(numbers of share traded: 3.79 crore) and MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 3.61 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 256.05 points up at 17392.6, while BSE Sensex ended up 874.18 points at 57911.68.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 1.33 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
