Apple is currently gearing up to launch its new iPhone series this year. While the fans wait for iPhone 14 series to unveil, things aren't looking so great for an older Apple smartphone model, which has consistently been a fan-favourite and also a budget phone from the tech giant.

According to reports, Apple is planning on discontinuing iPhone 11, which is undoubtedly one of the best iPhones ever produced by the company. Speculations suggest that once Apple introduces its new iPhone 14 series in September this year, it will kill the production of iPhone 11, which was launched in 2019 and is currently priced at Rs 49,900 in India.

Though there is no official confirmation from the Cupertino-based tech company, it is being reported that Apple has decided to discontinue iPhone 11 in order to boost iPhone SE (2022) sale.

The iPhone SE is the company's cheapest phone and is only $70 less than iPhone 11. However, despite new iPhones being launched and Apple releasing the "budget-friendly" smartphone, the demand for iPhone 11 has soared and the reason behind this could be the 11's sleek design and bigger screen, which is lacking in iPhone SE that still shows off an older design.

Since the price difference between iPhone 11 (2019) and iPhone SE (2022) isn't huge, many prefer the former as Apple's reliable and reasonably-priced smartphone.

In order to make way for their current smartphones, Apple will reportedly say goodbye to iPhone 11. But worry not, the smartphones will still be available for purchase until the stock last. Apple fans can also expect a price drop in iPhone 11 once the 14 series is launched by the company later this year.
