Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:20AM

Lexus Granito(up 4.97%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 4.05%), Pokarna(up 3.61%), Coal India(up 3.42%), Aro Granite Industries(up 2.75%), Ashapura Minechem(up 2.17%), KIOCL(up 1.53%), 20 Microns(up 1.52%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.35%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.30%) were among the top gainers.

NMDC Ltd(down 0.35%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 192.75 points up at 17329.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 676.77 points at 57714.27 at around 11:20AM.

Coal India(up 3.42%), Asian Paints(up 2.89%), Reliance Industries(up 2.17%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.99%), Infosys(up 1.97%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.73%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.63%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.55%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.51%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.49%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Steel(down 1.24%), JSW Steel(down 1.1%), Nestle India(down 1.02%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.57%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.4%), Cipla(down 0.39%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.37%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.18%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.15%) were trading in the red.
