Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:04AM

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 4.96%), ZUARIAGRO(up 4.66%), Sikko Industries(up 2.56%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.28%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 2.06%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 1.96%), Agro Phos(up 1.88%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.73%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.22%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 1.18%) were among the top gainers.

Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 2.76%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.65%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 112.4 points up at 17248.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 397.42 points at 57434.92 at around 10:04AM.

Coal India(up 3.79%), Asian Paints(up 1.94%), ITC(up 1.68%), Reliance Industries(up 1.65%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.45%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.38%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.18%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.18%), State Bank of India(up 1.12%) and Bajaj Finserv(up 1.1%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India(down 1.56%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.65%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.63%), Tata Steel(down 0.56%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.53%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.48%), HCL Technologies(down 0.32%), JSW Steel(down 0.17%), Axis Bank(down 0.14%) and Cipla(down 0.12%) were trading in the red.
