Dangee Dums(up 12.17%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 3.23%), Heritage Foods(up 1.42%), Dodla Dairy(up 1.39%), Hind.Foods(up 1.38%), P & G Hygiene(up 1.33%), Emami(up 1.25%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 0.81%), Euro India Fresh Foods(up 0.51%) and ADF Foods(up 0.34%) stood among the top gainers.
TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.76%), DFM Foods(down 3.34%), Nestle India(down 3.30%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.97%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 2.71%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 2.67%), Marico(down 2.66%), Bajaj Consumer(down 2.60%), Dabur India(down 2.43%) and Britannia Industries(down 2.27%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 215.0 points down at 16958.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 703.59 points at 56463.15.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 5.75%), Coal India(up 4.38%), Reliance Industries(up 3.81%), ICICI Bank(up 1.12%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.1%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.77%) and State Bank of India(up 0.45%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HDFC(down 5.45%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 4.81%), SBI Life(down 4.15%), HDFC Bank(down 3.82%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.76%), Infosys(down 3.66%), Nestle India(down 3.3%), Tech Mahindra(down 3.22%), ITC(down 3.17%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 2.97%) closed in the red.
