NEW DELHI: Shares of Pearl Polymers, Vaishali Pharma, Nitiraj Engineers, MRPL and Mohini Health & Hygi, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:15AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 23.8 points to 17197.45 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as INEOS Styrolution, SP Refractories Ltd. and Akash Infra-Proj, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 29 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 21 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Apollo Hospital, RIL, Coal India Ltd, BPCL and ICICI Bank were among top gainers, while HDFC, HDFC Bank, Infosys, HDFC Life and SBI Life traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 23.49 points up at 57190.23 at 11:15AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Rubber, Defence, Sugar, Paper and Mining sectors, while selling was visible in Industrial Consumables, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, IT Software and Holding Company sectors.
