Telugu actor Ram Charan has become a household name with his epic performance in director SS Rajamouli's 'RRR'.
Since the release of the film on March 24, all versions of the film have crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark. The Hindi version of the movie crossed the Rs 250 crore mark.
The South star has found a fan-following in the Northern parts of India too. Grateful and overwhelmed by the love he has been receiving from fans across India, the 37-year-old hosted a 'Langar Seva' (free kitchen) at the famous Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab.
The actor's wife, Upasana Konidela, represented him at the renowned shrine as the actor was busy shooting for director Shankar's upcoming film that has been tentatively titled #RC15.
Taking to Twitter, Konidela posted a 41-second-long video of herself at the Golden Temple.
In her caption, she wrote, "As a mark of gratitude Mr C (Charan) hosted a langar seva at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. I had the privilege & opportunity to represent him by participating in the seva as he was shooting for #RC15. Ram Charan and I feel blessed with your love and accept it with humility."
The Gurudwara Committee also gifted a portrait of the Golden Temple to Upasana.
The post has got over 1,070 retweets and nearly 5K likes in a matter of 24 hours.
Last week, Charan extended Baisakhi wishes to his followers in Punjabi. "Vaisakhi di sabnu lakh lakh vadaiyaan! Wishing you all a very joyous and prosperous Baisakhi," he wrote.
Recently, a video clip of Charan being mobbed by fans in Punjab emerged. He has been in Amritsar for some time now shooting for Shankar's film.
Earlier this year, the actor had visited the pilgrimage with the cast of 'RRR'. In Rajamouli's magnum opus, he plays the lead alongside Jr NTR.
