Google Pixel Watch with Wear OS 3.1 likely to hit the market soon. Check details

Tech giant Google’s in-house smartwatch, Google Pixel, is likely to launch soon if reports by tech tipster, Evan Blass is to be believed.

Several media reports quote Blass speculating that Pixel Watch that supposedly runs on Wear OS 3.1 may hit the market this year, although there has been no announcement from his end regarding the specific date for the launch yet. Blass reportedly tweeted out Pixel Watch’s online manual with the caption of “Won’t be long now.”

Although his tweet doesn’t show the name Google Pixel, it is mentioned by ‘Pixel Rohan’ the codename by which this smartwatch has been referred to, several times, during previous leaks, and detail reveals.

Although the moniker ‘Rohan’ has been used previously, it is to be seen if it features on the watch. It is likely that Google may take up a more attractive name for the Pixel Watch at the time of its release, as it goes head-to-head with big market players like Apple and Samsung in this segment.

Another thing that is curious about the screenshot that the tipster has shared is that it refers to Wear OS 3.1, which is not the most recent version of the wearable operating system. Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 devices, for instance, has Wear OS 3.2 which is an advanced version. However, it seems unlikely that Google will launch Pixel Watch without its own latest software.

Previously, the buzz was that the watch would be launched on dates May 11, July, and October 2022. However, so far there has been no confirmation on this information. Incidentally, the May date concurs with the 2022 I/O Conference and could be a credible launch date after all.
