Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Infosys(Rs. 2496.78 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1142.82 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1139.26 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 780.30 crore), HDFC(Rs. 766.05 crore), TCS(Rs. 617.59 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 595.36 crore), NTPC(Rs. 580.71 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 470.92 crore) and RIL(Rs. 428.09 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:59AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 335.5 points down at 17140.15, while BSE Sensex was down 1266.74 points at 57072.19 as of 10:59AM(IST)on April 18.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 5.49 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.38 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.19 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.15 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 7.35 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 5.42 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 3.91 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 3.62 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 3.41 per cent) were among the top losers.
