Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 1087.86 points down at 57251.07 level on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Among these top gainers were AGI Infra Ltd.(up 5.08%).
In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included NTPC(up 3.57%), Tata Steel(up 2.58%), SBI Life(up 1.84%), ONGC(up 1.75%) and Coal India Ltd(up 1.47%).
The Nifty 50 index was trading 280.9 points lower at 17194.75.
Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 13 shares traded in the green, while 37 traded in the red.
