‘Listening & speaking from the heart.’ Pooja Bhatt shares adorable photos of Ranbir Kapoor hugging his father-in-law

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on Thursday, in a very private ceremony, attended by only close friends and family. While the wedding ritual was conducted in a traditional Punjabi way, the event was a casual affair with everyone sharing laughter and conversations, and having a relaxed time.

The marriage, which marked the union of two big Bollywood families – the Bhatts and the Kapoors – had stirred quite a buzz among fans, and in the social media; and so far we have seen many heartwarming and happy photos of the private event shared by the bride as well as several family members who were in attendance.

The most recent photo from the wedding that is making Instagram users go ‘aww’ is that of the groom Ranbir Kapoor with his father-in-law Mahesh Bhatt. Film-maker and actress Pooja Bhatt shared a couple of photos on Instagram of the Kapoor scion and veteran film-maker hugging on the wedding day, as the ‘Barfi’ actor was welcomed into the Bhatt family.

In the first photo, as Ranbir Kapoor sports a charming smile on his face, Mahesh Bhatt can be seen resting his head on the actor’s chest and trying to listen to his heartbeat and in the other, the son-in-law and the father-in-law are seen in a happy embrace.

In the caption of these photos, the ‘Zakhhm’ actress wrote, "Who needs words when one has the ability to listen & speak from the heart? (white heart emoji)." Bride's father seemed overwhelmed with beautiful emotions as he married off his youngest daughter. The film-maker had, during the mehendi ceremony too, written the names of the newlyweds on the palm of his hands with mehendi.

So far, the Bhatt ‘clan’ has been sharing several photos of the beautiful event. Alia Bhatt’s mom, Soni Razdan too, took to her Instagram to share a ‘family’ portrait that included film-maker Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji too. The photo had several members of the Bhatt family, including the bride’s sisters Pooja and Shaheen. In the photo, Alia can be seen holding her grandfather N Razdan’s hand. Bride’s mom captioned the photo, ‘This is Us. We are Family.’

The newlyweds, who had been dating for the past five years, finally tied the knot during a private ceremony at Kapoor’s apartment building, ‘Vastu’ on April 14. Although there had been speculations about a grand reception, Neetu Kapoor, the groom’s mother, has negated the claim.
