Today is Hanuman Jayanti and it is being celebrated with pomp all over the country, but in view of the clashes between Hindus and Muslims in different states of the country in the last few days, special security arrangements have been made everywhere.
The local government and administration have made special preparations to deal with any untoward incident. Where there have been riots in the recent past, additional police forces have been deployed. Apart from this, some rules have also been fixed regarding the procession.
In the recent times, there has been a tension between Hindus and Muslims in the country. First in Mumbai, MNS chief Raj Thackeray demanded removal of loudspeakers from mosques, then in Karnataka cases like removal of Muslim shopkeepers from around temples and boycott of Muslims came to the fore. This created tension between the people of both the religions.
In the midst of the tense situation, people of both the communities also came in front of each other many times. Whether it is about Karauli in Rajasthan, Bangalore or Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. The administration had to face a lot of challenges in controlling the situation everywhere.
The controversy, which started with loudspeakers in Maharashtra, is slowly spreading across the country. On Hanuman Jayanti 2022, it is being said to recite Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers against Azaan. This controversy started when Raj Thackeray in Maharashtra gave an ultimatum to the government to remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 3. After this, there is a dispute going on across the country regarding this. However in Aligarh, recitation of Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers has already been started.
The state government is on alert due to the clash during the Ram Navami procession and it later turned into a riot and in view of the possibility of worsening of the situation on Hanuman Jayanti today, it has issued a high alert in Bhopal. Some special conditions have been laid regarding the procession on Hanuman Jayanti.
According to these conditions, no committee can take out procession without the permission of the administration. At the same time, the organisers of the procession will have to follow 16 conditions of the police. Itwara-Budhwa are very sensitive areas of the old city at this situation.
Amid this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a 108 feet statue of Lord Hanuman in Morbi, Gujarat at 11 am today. According to the Prime Minister's Office, this statue is the second of the four statues being installed in four directions across the country under the Hanumanji Char Dham project. It has been established in the ashram of Bapu Kesavananda in Morbi. This is a statue installed on the western side of the country. The first statue of the series was installed in Shimla in 2010.
