'KGF: Chapter 2', the sequel to 'KGF: Chapter 1', has shattered all previously held records.
What's even more amazing is the performance of the Yash-starrer's Hindi version. The Hindi-dubbed film has entered the Rs 100-crore club on the second day since its release on Thursday (April 14).
Calling it a Tsunami performance, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that 'KGF 2' has hit the ball out of the stadium on Day 2. He also informed that the film is trending better than the all-time highest grossing films 'Baahubali 2' and 'Dangal'.
On Day 1, the film in Hindi earned Rs 53.95 crore and made Rs 46.79 crore on Friday, minting a total of Rs 100.74 crore.
The movie critic is optimistic that the film will make around Rs 185 crore during the opening weekend, thanks to the extended holiday.
As far as the lifetime business of the 'KGF' franchise is concerned, the movie emerged as the biggest Day-1 opener in Indian history. All versions of the sequel smashed previously held records of Day 1, grossing Rs 134.50 crore.
While the part one of 'KGF' earned Rs 44.09 crore on Day 1, the sequel's Day 1 collection is Rs 53.95 crore.
