Kashmiri Pandit organisations said on Friday that the situation in the Valley is returning to what it was in the 1990s and that the administration is not providing enough security to ensure the safety of the minority community.
J&K Peace Forum and Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti (KPSS) expressed concerns over threatening letters circulated on social media asking Pandits to leave Kashmir.
"For the last two days once again a threatening letter has been issued to Kashmiri Pandits specifically by Lashker-e-Islam which is in circulation on social media... Once again, Kashmiri Pandits find themselves abandoned to their fate, stranded in their own homes, breathing with fear psychosis," said Satish Mahaldar, chairman, J&K Peace Forum.
He said Kashmiri Pandits have called "everyone in Jammu, Srinagar and Delhi, to save them from sure catastrophe".
