Covid numbers in capital double in a day

There are presently 841 active cases in the national capital, with 179 new recoveries reported.

Over the last week, the capital's positivity rate has risen to 2.7 percent, up from 0.5 percent.

COVID-19 tally in Delhi was 18,66,380 on Wednesday, with a death toll of 26,158.

With the city's daily case count and positive rate both climbing, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Monday that the government was keeping a close check on the situation and that there was no need to be concerned until a new variant of concern was discovered.
