Alia-Ranbir's wedding gets a starry twist: Nandas, Jains attend ceremony

Bollywood's newest power couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, tied the knot on Thursday at residence Vastu in Pali Hill, Bandra of Mumbai.

Since the couple were private about their wedding, they decided to invite only a limited number of guests for their big day.



As per media reports, only a handful of 30 to 50 guests, which includes the couple's closest friends and family members have been invited for the star couple's D-Day.


The who's who of the film fraternity such as Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Mahesh Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Nitasha Nanda, Rima Jain, Shammi Kapoor, among others were spotted at the wedding venue.

Shammi Kapoor’s wife Neila Devi also attended the wedding.

Author Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda represented the Bachchan family at the grand wedding. They were accompanied by the big B's businessman-son-in-law Nikhil Nanda, who is also Ranbir's cousin. Nanda's late mother Ritu was legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor's daughter.

The trio reached the venue in traditional outfits. Navya, who is the granddaughter of Ritu Nanda, opted for a colourful saree for the function. On the other hand, her mother Shweta chose to wear a beige saree.
Cousins Aadar and Armaan Jain, along with their mother, and uncle Randhir Kapoor also marked their attendance.

Later in the day, the newlyweds made a grand appearance for the shutterbugs. The groom lifted his bride in his arms to take her inside after the session of photoshoot was over.
