Planning to buy AirPods? You will need to pay extra as Apple hikes prices

Are you thinking of upgrading your headphones to Apple? Well, then prepare yourself to pay a little extra. Yes, Apple enthusiasts will need to shell out some extra cash to buy their products as the tech giant as hiked prices of their AirPods range in India.

The tech company has spiked the prices of AirPods 2nd generation, AirPods 3rd generation, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max in India by up to 10 per cent.

This sudden hike in prices could be the increase in the basic custom duty which was proposed in the Union Budget 2022 where the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman raised the basic custom duty from 10% to 22%.

However, Apple hasn't yet issued a statement revealing the reason behind the price hike of its AirPods.

The impact of this hike is finally being seen on products. Interested buyers can check the hike in Apple AirPods on the official Apple website. Among all Apple headphones, AirPods Max has received the biggest price hike as it will now cost Rs 66,100, thanks to Rs 6,200 jump.

Wheere AirPods Pro will now come for Rs 26,300 and 3rd-generation AirPods for Rs 20,500, which was originally launched for Rs 18,500.
