HPCL shares gain 1.77% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. traded at Rs 293.95 on BSE at 10:55AM (IST) on Wednesday, up 1.77 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 224.6 and a high of Rs 354.55.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 4.99 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 58.77 per share and 0.89 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 62,325 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:55AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 41620.21 crore and is part of the Oil Refining & Marketing industry.

The scrip has been an outperformer , up 26.89 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 19.16 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 294.3 and Rs 288.6.

Promoters held 54.9 per cent in the company as of 31-Mar-2022. FII and MF ownership in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. stood at 19.9 per cent and 10.68 per cent, respectively.
