Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 10:34AM

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 4.87%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 2.98%), Sikko Industries(up 2.38%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 1.73%) and Coromandel International(up 0.20%) were among the top gainers.

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 5.65%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 3.91%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 3.85%), Madras Fertlizers(down 3.59%), Agro Phos(down 3.17%), National Fertilizer(down 2.65%), G S F C(down 2.53%), ZUARIAGRO(down 2.48%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.41%) and Aries Agro(down 2.27%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 175.85 points down at 17499.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 497.98 points at 58466.59 at around 10:34AM.

Tata Consultancy(up 0.62%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.47%), HDFC(up 0.37%), HDFC Bank(up 0.29%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.26%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.21%) and HCL Technologies(up 0.06%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Coal India(down 4.68%), Hindalco Industries(down 4.42%), Tata Steel(down 3.73%), Grasim Industries(down 3.43%), Tata Motors(down 3.26%), JSW Steel(down 2.16%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.06%), Larsen & Toubro(down 2.02%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.95%) and UltraTech Cement(down 1.94%) were trading in the red.
