Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 11:00AM

Lexus Granito(up 4.86%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.31%) and Aro Granite Industries(up 0.16%) were among the top gainers.

Coal India(down 4.20%), Ashapura Minechem(down 3.28%), 20 Microns(down 2.52%), NMDC Ltd(down 2.47%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.37%), MOIL(down 2.31%), KIOCL(down 1.73%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.99%) and Pokarna(down 0.49%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 173.55 points down at 17501.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 498.85 points at 58465.72 at around 11:00AM.

HCL Technologies(up 0.58%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.57%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.32%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.28%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.25%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 4.68%), Coal India(down 4.2%), Tata Steel(down 3.46%), Tata Motors(down 3.06%), Grasim Industries(down 2.92%), Larsen & Toubro(down 2.4%), JSW Steel(down 2.08%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.92%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.79%) and Infosys(down 1.59%) were trading in the red.
