Nirav Modi's Close Aide In PNB Scam, Subhash Shankar Now In CBI's Hands

Subhash Shankar is accused for the Punjab National Bank scam of more than Rs 13,000 crores

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has got a big success in the bank fraud case. Running a big operation, the central agency has succeeded in bringing Subhash Shankar back to India, a close aide of fugitive businessman Nirav Modi, from Cairo. The CBI was working for a long time to bring him back to the country. 

During the fraud and scam with the bank, Subhash Shankar was posted as DGM (Finance) in Nirav Modi's company. In 2018, Interpol had issued a red corner notice against Nirav Modi, his brother Nishal Modi and his employee Subhash on the request of the CBI probing the PNB scam.

Subhash Shankar Parab, a close aide of PNB Bank scam accused Nirav Modi, has been brought by a special aircraft. A red corner notice was issued against it. Subhash Shankar is also an accused in the Punjab National Bank scam of more than Rs 13,000 crores. The CBI had accused Nirav Modi of tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses. He was also accused of forcibly kidnapping some of his employees and taking them to Cairo.

CBI has already filed chargesheet against Nirav Modi, Nishal Modi along with Subhash Shankar.
