
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is said to be one of the products that the tech giant is expected to launch later this month. OnePlus India has confirmed a launch event for April 28, where the company is also likely to unveil its first Nord audio product dubbed the Nord Buds. The company has teased the upcoming Nord device but hasn't confirmed the name yet.
Rumours suggest that on April 28, OnePlus will officially unveil the tone-down version of the Nord CE 2, which launched in India last year. The phone is likely to be called the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. And as the name suggests, the price of the phone is also expected to be quite affordable.
The upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is likely to be priced around Rs 20,000, which is much lower than the older sibling. Currently, the Nord CE 2 starts at a price of Rs 23,999 for the base 6GB RAM model. The 8GB RAM version comes at a price of Rs 24,999. The Nord 2 CE Lite is also likely to arrive in two variants with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with support for expandable storage via a microSD card.
With a price of around Rs 20,000, the Nord CE 2 Lite will undoubtedly aim to take on the likes of devices like the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, the Redmi Note 11 Pro Pus 5G, the Realme 9 5G Speed edition, among others.
Alleged specifications of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite have also surfaced online, which shows it will be somewhat similar to the Realme GT Neo3. Though there will be some differences here and there. The Realme phone is available in the global market and is expected to go official in India very soon. The launch date hasn't been revealed yet.
As per rumours and leaks, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will come packed with a 6.59-inch 1080p "Fluid" display, though there are no details on what kind of panel the phone will use. On the camera front, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is expected to include triple sensors on the rear panel consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors, one of which will be a macro and the other a depth lens. On the front, the phone is likely to include a 16-megapixel image sensor for selfies and video calls.
Under the hood, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256G of internal storage. The phone, similar to its older sibling, will come in two variants 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB of internal storage. It is said to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging in the box.
