NEW DELHI: Shares of Agro Phos India, Blue Chip India, Mirza Intnl, BAG Films and Brand Concepts L, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:24AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 74.6 points to 17709.75 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as McDowell Hold, Veranda Learning Solutions Ltd., Asian Hotels(W), Sathavahana Isp and Jindal Cotex, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 20 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 28 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, JSW Steel, Grasim Inds., Apollo Hospital, ICICI Bank and Adani Ports SEZ were among top gainers, while Infosys, HCL Tech, SBI Life, HUL and L&T traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 307.05 points down at 59140.13 at 10:24AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Agro Processing, Telecommunications, Power, IT - Hardware and Defence sectors, while selling was visible in Industrial Consumables, Textiles, Tyres, Irrigation & Allied Services and Tourism & Hospitality sectors.
