A new controversy in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has surfaced, in which Left Wing students are seen pulling the Ram Navami flag in a viraled video  ABVP has claimed that this video is from inside JNU. Delhi Police has registered an FIR in connection with the assault in JNU. The case is being investigated.

Clashes broke out between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Left Wing in JNU on Sunday. While on one hand the ABVP has accused the students of the Left Wing of trying to stop the worship of Ram Navami, on the other hand AISA has claimed that the secretary of Kaveri Hostel was assaulted over the meat.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad held a press conference on Sunday's meet controversy in JNU and told how the whole incident happened. According to the ABVP, the students of Kaveri Hostel had kept a puja on Ram Navami. The people of the Left opposed it. They had put a fake notice in the name of the warden that the worship will not take place. They started spoiling the atmosphere since morning, due to which the worship could start at 5 o'clock instead of 3 o'clock. The worship was outside and iftar was going on inside without a problem still the left wing did not support it.

After this, as soon as the worship was over, the students who participated in were beaten. Then the left students brought the matter of veg-non-veg in the mess in their defense. Apart from Kaveri, non-veg was made in 18 other hostels, but ABVP had no problem anywhere. After a bad chaos, the media was called and then the Peace March started. According to ABVP, the Left never wants Hindu festivals to be celebrated in JNU. There have also been assaulting students on celebrating Navratri and Holi.
