Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:55AM

Agro Phos(up 14.10%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 5.00%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 5.00%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 4.85%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 4.25%), G S F C(up 3.14%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.32%), Aries Agro(up 2.14%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 1.96%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.92%) were among the top gainers.

KRISHANA(down 0.87%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.59%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.46%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.34%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 102.7 points down at 17681.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 422.45 points at 59024.73 at around 10:55AM.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.47%), JSW Steel(up 1.32%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 1.13%), ICICI Bank(up 1.01%), Grasim Industries(up 0.95%), Cipla(up 0.78%), Tata Motors(up 0.74%), UPL Ltd(up 0.69%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.61%) and NTPC(up 0.56%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Infosys(down 2.62%), SBI Life(down 2.07%), HCL Technologies(down 2.06%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.83%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.67%), Wipro(down 1.63%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.25%), Reliance Industries(down 1.15%), Asian Paints(down 1.04%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.01%) were trading in the red.
