In the poster, the couple could be seen in each other's arms.

Sharing this movie poster on social media, Bhatt captioned the post, "Love & light," with a little red heart emoji.

The new poster was released along with a teaser of a romantic song 'Kesariya' from the film.

Director Ayan Mukerji called it the 'Love Poster', featuring the reel and real-life couple. He also said that his upcoming film is essential to the energy that spreaded "like fire, beyond the movie and into life".

Although there is no official confirmation from Alia-Ranbir on their much-anticipated wedding, paparazzi reported that the RK Studios in Mumbai's Chembur, and the newly-built 'Krishna Raj' bungalow all lit up days ahead of their supposed wedding.

A Mirror Now report said that the banquet hall of the 'Barfi' actor's Pali Hill house, 'Vaastu', has been booked for eight days.

Celebrity couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding has become the talk of the town lately. From their wedding preparations to their guest list, many reports surrounding their big day have been making rounds in the media. Recently, the paparazzi spotted RK Studios all lit up days ahead of their wedding.

Mukerji, a close friend of the couple, took to Instagram to tease the fans that the time feels right for the poster as "there is some extra love in the air these days!"

"'Love is the Light!' Part One: Shiva... is what this first chapter of 'Brahmastra' is now called. But for the longest time, it used to be... Part One: Love. Because at its core, 'Brahmastra' is about the energy of love," his caption read.

The couple and the rest of the 'Brahmastra' cast and crew wrapped the shooting for the first part of the much-awaited fantasy adventure trilogy in Varanasi on March 29. This is the first on-screen collaboration between Kapoor and Bhatt. They began dating while filming.

'Brahmastra' is the actor's first film since 2018's 'Sanju', while Bhatt was recently seen in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'.

Mukerji had announced 'Brahmastra' in 2014, and wanted to release the film in 2016. But things didn't go as planned and the project was delayed. The film's principal photography began in 2018.

After a number of changes in release date due to the pandemic, the film is finally set to be released on September 9 this year.

Besides Kapoor and Bhatt, the first part of the big-budget film trilogy features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.

'Brahmastra' stars Kapoor as Shiva (a man with supernatural powers), Bhatt as his love interest Isha and Bachchan as Guruji. The first film will mark the beginning of a new original cinematic universe called the Astraverse, the makers had said.

Produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the magnum opus will release worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
