Will Smith gets 10-year Oscars ban over Chris Rock slap, analyst says 'harsh'

Analyst says after slap of Chris Rock and 10-year ban from attending official academy events, including the Oscars, 'It's never going to be the same' for actor Will Smith. Glenn Whipp, columnist, Los Angeles Times:, said "Barring him from the ceremony for 10 years. That sounds kind of harsh. I mean, it's about the only thing they could do short of revoking his Oscar -- taking back the Oscar he just won for 'King Richard,' and that wasn't something that had much enthusiasm among the governors."
