
NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Salona Cotspin(20.0%), Halder Venture(19.99%), Lambodhara Text(19.99%), JP Associates(19.91%), Galactico Corporate(19.91%), Sujala Trading(19.79%), Piccadily Agro(19.66%), Rishi Techtex(19.52%), Wendt India(19.45%) and Maris Spinners(19.11%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 412.23 points up at 59447.18, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 144.8 points up at 17784.35.
In the Nifty50 index, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Galactico Corporate, Sujala Trading, Piccadily Agro, Wendt India and Maris Spinners hit their fresh 52-week high, while Aryavan Enterprise, Prabhat Tech, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Shree Worstex and Manraj Housing touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
