ADANIGREEN(up 7.20%), JSW Energy(up 4.53%), Adani Transmissions(up 3.70%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 2.78%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 2.48%), Hitachi Energy India(up 2.43%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 2.34%), Indowind Energy(up 2.13%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 2.12%) and Suzlon Energy(up 1.70%) stood among the top gainers.
Adani Power(down 4.99%), Inox wind(down 2.42%), Orient Green Power Company(down 2.38%), DPSC(down 1.32%), NTPC(down 0.94%), SJVN(down 0.86%), Voltamp Transformers(down 0.86%), Energy Development Company(down 0.69%), NHPC(down 0.65%) and Jyoti Structures(down 0.24%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 144.8 points up at 17784.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 412.23 points at 59447.18.
Grasim Industries(up 5.31%), SBI Life(up 4.65%), ITC(up 4.34%), JSW Steel(up 3.92%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.77%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.68%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.62%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.1%), Shree Cement(up 2.09%) and Coal India(up 1.99%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Cipla(down 2.42%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.35%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.08%), NTPC(down 0.94%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.68%), HCL Technologies(down 0.68%), HDFC(down 0.18%), HDFC Bank(down 0.14%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
