Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Bandhan Bank(number of shares traded: 5.27 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.26 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.82 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.39 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.05 crore), JP Associates(number of shares traded: 0.87 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 0.72 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.64 crore), Shree Ren Sug(number of shares traded: 0.63 crore) and Sun and Shine(number of shares traded: 0.56 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 4.7 points down at 17634.85, while BSE Sensex was down 75.3 points at 58959.65 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.70 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Cipla Ltd.(down 2.80 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.33 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
