Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Ruchi Soya Inds(Rs. 1136.73 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 917.65 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 761.01 crore), HDFC(Rs. 717.75 crore), Bandhan Bank(Rs. 555.42 crore), Tech Mahindra(Rs. 468.38 crore), RIL(Rs. 386.44 crore), Tata Elxsi(Rs. 382.85 crore), Tata Comm(Rs. 370.02 crore) and Chola Inv Finance(Rs. 369.94 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 23.75 points down at 17615.8, while BSE Sensex was down 111.91 points at 58923.04 as of 10:24AM(IST)on April 08.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 2.69 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) were among the top losers.
