JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 6.83%), ADF Foods(up 6.00%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 3.85%), Hind.Foods(up 3.08%), Zydus Wellness(up 2.02%), Prataap Snacks(up 1.92%), Britannia Industries(up 1.63%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.59%), Jyothy Labs(up 1.52%) and Nestle India(up 1.45%) stood among the top gainers.
Nakoda Group(down 5.48%), Future Consumer(down 3.06%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 1.41%), Dodla Dairy(down 0.84%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.73%), Dangee Dums(down 0.66%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.57%) and Vadilal Industries(down 0.18%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 144.8 points up at 17784.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 412.23 points at 59447.18.
Grasim Industries(up 5.31%), SBI Life(up 4.65%), ITC(up 4.34%), JSW Steel(up 3.92%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.77%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.68%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.62%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.1%), Shree Cement(up 2.09%) and Coal India(up 1.99%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Cipla(down 2.42%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.35%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.08%), NTPC(down 0.94%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.68%), HCL Technologies(down 0.68%), HDFC(down 0.18%), HDFC Bank(down 0.14%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
