
HDFC Bank, on its website, has stated that with effect from April 6, 2022, the rate of interest on savings bank deposit accounts will be 3.00 percent per annum on balances less than Rs 50 lakh and 3.50 percent on balances of more than Rs 50 lakh.
The interest rate on HDFC Bank savings accounts will be determined based on the daily amounts in your account. Interest on savings accounts will be paid at quarterly intervals by HDFC Bank.

HDFC Bank has increased fixed deposit rates on various tenors effective from April 6 2022. HDFC Bank has raised its one-year FD interest rate by 10 basis points to 5.10 percent from 5 percent, according to the bank's website, and its one-year one-day to two-year FD interest rate has also been increased by 10 basis points to 5.10 percent from 5 percent.
PNB slashes savings account interest
The interest rate on savings accounts with balances under Rs 10 lakh has been reduced by Punjab National Bank (PNB) to 2.70 percent each year. Interest rates for savings accounts with balances of more than Rs 10 lakh but less than Rs 500 crore have also been cut to 2.75 percent by the bank. The revised interest rate came into effect on April 4, 2022.
The interest rate on HDFC Bank savings accounts will be determined based on the daily amounts in your account. Interest on savings accounts will be paid at quarterly intervals by HDFC Bank.
